Weird stuff.
30 years ago, I had one knee that suddenly swelled up. I couldn’t bend it. A vet friend gave me some DMSO. I rubbed it on the knee once, the knee returned to normal and I never used it again. The knee has never again swelled.
At the moment of skin contact, I could taste something fishy/garlicky. DMSO really passes thru the skin and is in the bloodstream fast. The one time I used it, I made sure nothing else at all was mixed with it.
I was impressed, but am cautious about anything with that sort of solvent property.
i know some female olympic skier hurt her ankle and put dmso on it, skied the next day and wound up with the silver.
