I watched the video. I could not understand the rationale of the violence the officer displayed towards her. She was intoxicated but not really uncooperative.
Lastly, there are cameras all over the place in that jail so you would think the cops would know that they are being watched. Cops would also know the size of the cells, the concrete bench and what would likely happen if you shove a drunk towards a cell wall and bench.
He knew all that. He also knew that he was not in trouble. Police now are transitioning into a force of Occupation in a hated hostile colony.
He probably shoved other arrestees similarly into the cells without causing the injury that occurred so he probably was surprised at what happened. The lady's light weight made her move with greater force than with a heavier prisoner. Not excusing the cop. He was at fault. But he probably didn't intend to cause the serious injury he did.
He clearly over reacted to her unwillingness to pose for the mugshot. He escalated from there.
Cops also know that other cops will lie for them.
Problem is this time the Video show it all.
They made up the Resisting Arrest Charge to cover for this a-hole.
This cop should be arrested for assault he should be fired.
I would bet that when the other cops went in they wondered WTF was wrong with this a-hole for doing something like this, but still they allowed the resisting arrest charge.
It’s a fraternity where they look out for each other.
“Lastly, there are cameras all over the place in that jail so you would think the cops would know that they are being watched.”
As the cop was never charged, I guess it doesn’t much matter that he was being recorded.
