Illegal immigrant advocates interrupted Sen. Ted Cruzs speech to the Values Voters Summit on Friday more than a dozen times on, calling on the Texas Republican and potential presidential candidate to support a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants.
But the Texas Republican repeatedly deflected the criticism, turning it into an attack against President Obama.
How scared is the president? Mr. Cruz said. Oh, they dont want the truth to be heard. They definitely dont want the truth to be heard.
The crowd also tried to drown out the protestors with chants of USA! USA!
The protesters were dragged out by security guards.
Mr. Cruz opposed the immigration reform bill that GOP Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida helped to steer through the Democratic-controlled Senate, where it passed on a 68-32 vote, garnering the support of 14 Republicans.
The GOP-controlled House has not taken up the bill, which would grant quick legal status and work permits to most illegal immigrants. But it would withhold a full path to citizenship until a number of border security benchmarks are met.
The message we were trying to get to the Republican Party was that if they want to get Latino vote once again, they need to support immigration reform, Salvador Cervantes, who refused to give his groups name. An immigration reform bill that gives legal status to people who are living without documents good people.
Carolina Canizales, 23, a member of United We Dream, said she came to the country undocumented and that Mr. Cruz has refused to listen to advocates of immigration reform.
There is one reality that we are always having: There are 1,400 people being deported every day, Ms. Canizales said. Sen. Cruz is a Latino and should champion our population of Latinos.

Hey Salvador Cervantes have you and your ilk stopped raping babies to death? How about 93 year old grandmothers? Run down and murder any nuns after drinking your case of cer-vesa? Raping murdering robbing stealing and drug running is no way to get citizenship son of female dog!
The message we were trying to get to the Republican Party was that if they want to get Latino vote once again, they need to support immigration reform, Salvador Cervantes.”
“get Latino vote once again.” Hey, Sal, point me to which elections you are talking about where the majority of Latinos voted for conservatives, limited government, personal responsibility, and freedom.
“who refused to give his groups name.”
Perhaps its “Commie Illegal Invaders Agitating for Reconquista”.
“Carolina Canizales, 23, a member of United We Dream, said she came to the country undocumented and that Mr. Cruz has refused to listen to advocates of immigration reform.”
Carolina—have you ever stopped to think that maybe Mr. Cruz is listening to the citizens rather than to law breakers?
Say wha'?
And if the Republican Party wants to get the vote of the millions of Americans who want our existing immigration laws enforced and who oppose amnesty, they should write off the worthless Rubio and his worthless immigration reform bill.
No, they pretended to be one of Khan’s people
Elian Gonzales was a Dreamer.
Congratulations for that one extra step! No offense to Ricardo Montalban, I picked his Trek character only because of the actors heritage. “Ricardo Gonzalo Pedro Montalbán y Merino, KSG was a Mexican radio, television, theatre, and film actor. He had a career spanning seven decades,”
And before I’m flamed, I respect Ricardo and his acting, have no idea what his politics were. Okay just checked he was a Republican. Sorry for misusing your memory Ricardo!
Ricardo Montalban never was a US citizen.
From his Wiki page:
Although he spent most of his life in the United States, he remained a citizen of Mexico and never applied for American citizenship
The real question is how much longer can we attribute their behavior to stupidity? Sooner or later we must face up to the truth, there are Progressives within the GOP that have the same goals as the Progressives in the democratic party.
Ever notice, there was never any money involved in the show? There were Tribbles however. {:-)
Then you would be Indian, not Spanish.
Extremists Posing As DREAMers To Threaten the American Citizenship Dream for Mexican Immigrants?
Both Mohammad Abdollahi (Iranian immigrant) and Prerna Lal (Fijian immigrant) are co-founders of DreamActivist.org.
Far right wing media outlets like Brietbart already appear to be anti-Mexican but they also have intentions to use a couple of radical leaders who refer to our Nation as Amerikkka or have anti-white views as the poster children for the DREAM Act even though they know damned well most of the DREAM Act students have pledged their allegiance to our Nation and are aspiring to become contributing Americans of our society. Wouldnt it make sense for the far right wing media outlets to highlight the patriotic students who want to achieve the American dream while contributing talents or the education they received here?

Somebody from Iran is the spokesperson for dreamers from Mexico...
I won’t disagree with you, the page I accessed listed Republican Latinos and he was on it.

Mestizo, if you want to be very exact, rather than PC-like most whose ancestors came from Spain in the 1700’s-Native American + Spanish makes Mestizo. But what is in a label-all are called Hispanic or Latino anyway, unless they insist otherwise.
And pardon me-that should be “The United States of America”, not just America-strictly speaking, the US of A at that time was the thirteen colonies-what is now Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, etc was Spanish territory, or New Spain. My ancestors lived and ranched in what is now Texas...
And, pardon again-”in the 1700s” should be “before the 1700’s”-they were already in Mexico by the 1700’s, and came to what is now south and west Texas...
I think a fair number of them just no longer have any fight in them on some issues, particularly the amnesty for illegal aliens issue. They just want to get rid of the issue so they won't have to deal with it anymore. Very short-term thinking to make it easier on themselves with little thought to the longer term result most anyone is able to see: millions more votes for the Dims and few more for the Republicans.
Some Republicans are just yelling: No mas! No Mas! on the amnesty for illegals issue, and caving in is the only thing they know how to do at that point.
U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) spoke today at the 2013 Values Voter Summit at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C. Some of Obamas paid operatives showed up to disrupt, but Cruz showed Republicans how to handle hecklers, calling Obamas paid political operatives.Lolzzzz. No wonder why they hate him. He's FUNNY, too.He wondered aloud if anyone was left at the Organizing for Americas Campaign HQ! Im actually glad that the presidents whole political staff is here instead of actually doing mischief in the country, he said to raucous laughter and applause.
Bingo !
