I was referring to Julian Huxley, not Aldous Huxley ("Brave New World"). Regarding the latter, you might be correct - the book might have been a warning, and not, as you say, a blueprint.

Oh yes, Aldous describes both the malthusian society and the drug culture. But it was clearly not meant as a blueprint for society.
Wells did some of the same, only his warning speculations were not among his best known works.
We have modern sci-fi authors, describing complete genocides done for the best of the majority. Very popular with th libs, who think they’re user manuals.
