Sen. John McCain said Wednesday that there was never a chance of defunding Obamacare, blaming politicians who said it was possible for the current government shutdown. We started this on a fools errand, convincing so many millions of Americans and our supporters that we could defund Obamacare, McCain (R-Ariz.) told Wolf Blitzer on CNN. [That] obviously wouldnt happen until we had 67 Republican senators to override a presidential veto.
[snip] [It was] the people that convinced so many millions of Americans, tea partiers specifically were talking about, that there was some way to defund Obamacare. We cant, McCain said.

Nice to know Juan McPain has reconnected with his inner communist. Birds of a feather (McPain and Obozo) flock together. Will someone not rid us of these meddlesome fools? [with apologies to T.S. Eliot’s “Murder in the Cathedral”].
When will Arizona fire this guy?
When asked about his feeling on Dovergate, specifically the WH handling, the first thing out if his mouth was,”if there hadn’t been a shutdown, this would have never happened” essentially blaming the REPS for the funds not being available. He wasn’t done yet. Martha then said, Ted Cruz is on his way to the WH to represent the REPS, (paraphrasing). McCain snickered and you could tell he was really pi$$ed. He then said, real sarcastically, Ted Cruz doesn’t represent us, and continued on a tirade about him.
His almost “hatred” attitude for Cruz is very evident. I think he realizes that Cruz and others are going to be his undoing. Jealousy, arrogance, & disloyalty are just a few of his traits,
If the old bald headed traitor had not helped elect obama his obamacare would not have been introduced to begin with. And by the way, Johh, have you ever read it?
If a fuss hadn’t been made about the failings of Obamacare the Oct 1 rollout would have been a lefty media celebration akin to V-J Day. Cruz rained on the left’s parade.
He probably wants ObamaCare.
A fool's errand, the perfect errand to call out the perfect fool.
If McCain was truly worried about the Republican party as a whole, and his goal was to promote the principles in which the party is supposed to be grounded, he would be voicing his disagreements behind closed doors, in private discussions with his Republican colleagues. His goal would be to make his fellow Republicans look as good as possible - not to denigrate them publicly. It seems that his biggest goal is to serve his own ego instead, and to protect his ‘brand’ as a ‘reach across the aisle’ ‘moderate’.
Obamacare passed with 51 votes Sen. McCrap.
