I was just thinking of that this morning. Every day, I wake up and find another conservative “turned” into one of the pod people.
The original story for Body Snatchers is a warning against communism. I guess it still is.
I didn’t know that about the movie. In the 70’s remake which I have watched many times there is a scene with Donald Sutherland and he is talking to the woman who says her husband “Jeffrey” is not acting himself and that he is different. Sutherland tells her she should talk to a doctor and maybe he can find out what is wrong with Jeffrey and maybe her husband had gone gay or Republican. When I heard that I just busted out laughing I guess in hindsight it is not realty too funny.
