(CNSNews.com) - Sen. Orrin Hatch (R.-Utah), the ranking member of the Senate Finance Committee, delivered a blistering statement directly to the face of Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew in a committee hearing this morning addressing the legal limit on the federal government’s debt.
Hatch told Lew that statements and arguments Lew has been making in defense of the administration’s position that it will not negotiate with Congress over the terms of increasing the debt limit were “not true” and “simply false.”

Simple question. “Mr. Lew. If the debt ceiling is raised for 6 weeks, what is your plan not to go back to the well again, since in 6 weeks the earth will end.......again?”
Yeah, I thought he was gone as well.
It appears to me that Yobama and his gang of thugs, with the willing help of the fawning press, intend to “create” a crisis where none exists. Could this be the ultimate plan whereby Yobama can exercise his 23+/- Executive Orders “in time of crisis”?
Nice job, Hatch. He has kept his head down since his contested re-election, and popped up just in time to show off his elegant grasp of the indisputable facts. He can be one of the most affable of nerds when it comes to his field; senate rules, the law and the accounting books. He’s that good.

Good to see Sen. Hatch nail 0bummer and this lapdog to the wall and he did just that.
The Orrin Hatch moment that I remember the most was during the Clarence Thomas hearings. When Hatch took his turn, he asked leading question after leading question after leading question to afford Thomas the chance to agree affirmatively that he was the victim of a hi-tech lynching. It was very effective in putting the Democrats in their place in the middle of their witch hunt. And for helping get Thomas on the court, I am eternally grateful.
I always have admired Senator Hatch.
They’ll have to do it regionally thru their own home distric news media and radio stations...the national msm don’t have control there and won’t give them the time of day nationally.

Now, we just need to post that video everywhere possible and encourage all Republicans to recite those facts EVERY TIME THIS WHITE HOUSE REPEATS THEIR LIES.
He was very outspoken against Clinton in the 90's...haven't seen much of him lately.
This doesn't work.
The talking heads just come on afterwards and shred everything the Republicans would say.
That's why you have to preempt what their response is going to be (e.g. “there are those who will try to mischaracterize us and claim ......... They are wrong, and this is why they are wrong ............. Don't let those with an agenda, especially those pretending to be nonpartisan, obscure the truth.” etc.)
