I saw this piece on the news in 2012, budget cuts were causing her
problems with her government payments! She had section 8 housing yet
still managed to get evicted, I was appalled at the time all of these children were left in her care with NO FOOD, SHOES, one room ect.
Where the hell was child care services!!!!
Children can't be taken away from a parent because the family is poor or lacking assets or even homeless. Now, if there is money and it is being spent on something else (frivolous or drugs), or there is abuse, or there is denial of medical care, that is something else. But we don't want social services to swoop in and remove children because of limited means. If you permit that you have opened the door to all kinds of mandatory compliance with state defined rules including ones that will conflict with traditional, conservative and religious upbringing.
