I think when Leader Pelosi said that they would remove all the motions to instruct, that was a good-faith effort to get serious negotiations going,.............
It’s NOT that the Democrats don’t negotiate, but actually there is no such thing as negotiation with a Democrat.
Very naive. Paul Ryan should know this.
Apparently we have novices present on our behalf.

It doesn’t mean they are passing a CR, it means they are talking about negotiating on the budget. OR one could say they might begin negotiations on funding, which is a CR instead of a budget, since they haven’t had a real budget for years.
But its talking about negotiating what is IN the budget, that doesn’t mean anything right now. People are talking like that means they are caving. It says not such thing.
Now, they MIGHT cave, but THIS article says nothing of the sort.
To get budget changes means negotiations..not sure what people think is going to happen....a money fairy drop out of the sky and wave a wand?

People are talking like that means they are caving. It says not such thing.
That's because "people", which should read informed conservatives, recognize the pattern of caving from multiple historical occurrences with the cowards in the House, especially Boehner an the rest of the so-called "GOP Leadership". They have a well-earned reputation of doing something symbolic, as if it means they are either fighting or conservative, and then caving to the Democrats or GOP-E.

It finally forced the enemedia to report on obamacare and report all of the negative garbage that it is. It caused obama’s approval to drop quite a bit. With the source code to their software now leaked by hackers... the entire system is unworkable.

As heard on Hugh Hewitt’s program yesterday in an interview with Charlie Dent (RINO-PA), it’s clear there are many members of the Republican caucus who think the best way to defund obamacare is to give in on the budget shutdown and debt ceiling, then defeat obamacare through persuasion ... That is, persuade the Democrat Socialists in Congress to support the Republican position. Dent really, truly believes this is the way to defeat obamacare — that this is better than standing firm (audio of the interview is at hughhewitt.com). People this naive — this dumb — shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near a position of responsibility.

Paul Ryan was obviously a VP plant by the globalist elite ptb. He didn't have enough of a voting record in the HOR yet to show that he's no conservative.
Someone expressed a few months ago "never trust a man who married for his money"

I'd take it a step further, they don't believe this, they know that it will fail, but they think it gives them cover with their base, that they really, really care and are really against it, but what else can they do, sniff, sniff.
They are craven cowards and craven liars, and I think many of them actually, in their hearts, believe that everyone should get Healthcare by law, even if it lowers the standard of care and makes it extremely costly for the producers.
They are socialists at heart and are fearful of their base and of losing campaign cash from big-business and other special interests.

What should Paul Ryan do now?
Paul Ryan should apologize to the U. S. citizenry, admit his total lack of principle, resign his Congressional seat, vow never to seek any office again, and consider renouncing his citizenship and moving to some appropriate foreign nation more consistent with his complete whorishness.
That's what.
The Illinois Congressional District in which I reside immediately abuts Ryan's Wisconsin Congressional District. He looks and stinks just as bad locally as nationally.

I wonder whether Paul Ryan ever dreamed, as a freshman congressman, that he would one day become a mere apparatchik doing the bidding of an America-hating Communist. Was this man EVER any good, or did he simply contrive a convincing facade? Bob

I agree. I will describe that principled sort as a “Cruz Conservative” Drives the libs bat-chit!

Too damn bad. KEEP the government partial shutdown in place while the American people slowly digest this nightmare. Who cares how long it goes on? Not me! BOb

The thing that pisses me off the most is the respect they show to their comrade across the aisle. Pelosi could call Ryan and gay granny killer and Ryan would say “She’s acting in good faith.”
