Big government kills localism, efficiency and prudent spending.

Taxpayers send money to the state. Of course they want it back, so the mayors applies for grants and the state reps put their pet projects in the bills. And the taxpayers may or may not want more than their fair share, but they sure don’t want to take less, and they’re worried that the other guy is going to get more.

Then the taxpayers send money to the federal government. And they want it back. And a good representative or senator is one who gets more federal money sent to or spent in the state than it sent in.

Whereas if the taxpayers had to fund their own school, sewage plant, highway, science project or peanut museum locally, they’d be a whole lot more frugal.

It enables corruption so effeciently:

Politicians have influence over policies, legislation, regulation, and enforcement

Big money uses politicians to do their bidding using their powers of position for a fee of course

The taxpayers provide an enormous base to fleece and rape

The politicians are connected to any agencies that investigate any complaints by the taxpayers / citizens. As such their complaints usually fall on deaf ears if the politicians intervene and give a piece of the pie to the agencies investigating them. This leaves the only outlet to get something done about it which is the media whether online posting or news agencies if enough people report it.

Where we find ourselves right now is that the news media has been subverted by the politico which counterattacks for them. This has led to political activism online which is in danger due to the governent’s control of the MSM and many very popular internet service providers. Having control of communications this leaves us all in a very dangerous place.
