It’ll get entertaining the first time one of the students uses the system to announce “Allah akbar!”

Shhhh.... we're in NY and our HS celebrates National Prayer Day and each day after the Pledge is “a moment of silent meditation” that all students know was changed when Prayer was no longer allowed so many pray. Some just because “the man” doesn't want them to! A public school, btw.

Why not?

Even here in deep blue Connecticut, the public schools allow the Catholic church to use classrooms for after-school religious education.

The facilities are public, just like the Liberal, Kansas public announcement system is public.

Just checked a breakdown of religions for Liberal, Kansas.

There are zero muslims listed.

It’s getting harder and harder to find places to bump good news

Liberal is a hijacked word.

To refer to the left, I now use ‘progressive’.

Progressive, you know, like cancer?

I *like* it!

To carry it a little further: “Progressive” - because “metastasis” is too long.

There are zero muslims listed.

So? Do you think there are zero wisecracking high school students?

This is a golden opportunity for them to jerk the school around with no possible repercussions.

The article says we’re talking about representatives of school clubs and other allowed activities. Either their contribution pertains or doesn’t pertain. If it didn’t, then I’d make that ruling.
