True. But, imho, there’s more political capital to be gained by talking about how completely screwed up the registration system is than with the shutdown.
Unless Republicans can really exploit the “I told you so” angle. But I don’t see them moving in that direction.
I see your point, but IMO, the cat is out of the bag on cost and as a campaign issue isn’t going away. Pubbies can also point to projections of cost escalation in future years. Overall I think they get points for holding their ground. Just have to not screw it up.
