“For all intents and purposes, it’s business as usual,” says O’Brien. “They’re just going to need to be a little bit more particular and careful about where they’re hunting. They still have to get all federal stamps, follow all state regulations and our state wardens are going to be out.”

So are the WI DNR guys going to enforce the federal closures?

Imagine these people in charge of your healthcare and shutting that down as part of their temper tantrum.

No. The forest that is managed by the state is open for hunting. Campgrounds may be closed, but hunters can still hunt.

Only a lib could fail to grasp the irony of closing public land to the public.

Tried to use a local shooting range yesterday. Although the range is never manned, the Park Service put a chain across the road cutting off access. This selective punishment of the people by the Obama Administration has got to stop. Government has gotten too powerful and is intruding in ways that will cause permanent damage. For instance, closing the national parks does a lot of good for the travel industry. Thousands of tourists, both local and foreign, have been denied access after spending hard earned funds for a once in a lifetime experience. Will they or can they afford to come back? My thought is that Obama is deliberately making the public feel the pain so that the public will do what he wants - increase government. Personally I wish some people in Congress would start impeachment for deliberately impeding commerce to the detriment of the United States. Throw the bums out!
