Do you actually believe this Poll?
Yes I do.
But I also recall the great Sherlock Holmes comment from "Silver Blaze:" What really matters here is that the dog DIDN'T bark in the night.
The dog not barking in the night here is the number of people who blame BOTH parties.
The 62% is being arrived at by combining the number of people who blame Republicans with the number of people who blame both. That means that there's a corresponding number for Democrats as well. The last full polls I saw showed something like 48% blaming Republicans, 38% Democrats and 17% both. That means 65% blaming Republicans but 55% blaming Democrats.
That would be close to the 62% being cited here, while also telling the rest of the story: more than half of Americans also blame Democrats. Not a bad thing, assuming that one doesn't mind (or even wants) the undermining of the general credibility of the Government ...

Quite so.
They are happy to mix solutions of primary colors until they get the hue they want and declare it to be some magical pipeline into the thoughts of 320 million highly diverse residents.
As always, these polls are reliant on those gullible, bored or desperate enough to answer a landline phone during the dinner hour and to share their thoughts with an unseen stranger. I wouldn’t trust these people to buy me a loaf of bread let alone make a political calculation.
