A new report from federal watchdogs reveals that discrimination against military veterans at the Energy Department and retaliation against whistleblowers who spoke out about the practice were more widespread than previously believed and could cost taxpayers millions.
The report, released Tuesday by DOEs inspector general, revealed that a top legal official explicitly advised human resources officials at the departments Bonneville Power Administration on how to disadvantage veterans in its hiring practices.
BPA then attempted to completely remove two employees from the federal service after they questioned the hiring practices.
Problems at BPA are more widespread than just those two instances, according to the IG.

This is what happens when you embed political partisans in the ranks of Civil Service. The laws preventing this were undone during the Clinton Administration and they went to great lengths to plants moles in government Civil Service positions on their way out of office. The Obama Administration has doubled down on this approach.
The government is now controlled by dedicated, partisan lefties no matter what party occupies the White House.
Yes and BPA has always been a secret spoils system within Civil Service. I know that it has been since back in the 60s. It just continues and is abetted by this crooked freedom hating administration.
Given the volume of scandals and the depth of their criminality you’d think that Nixon had been cloned and asked by Obama to staff the entire Executive, but then that would be an insult to poor “Tricky Dick” who committed no crime.
But, being from Cook County Illinois aka Crook Crony Ill-Annoy aka Obama County I know better.
