Ok, fair enough...

I look at the cloture vote as something that defined those senators in two ways...

The first group, obviously wanted the situation to turn out just like it has, knowing that they were going to lose the argument anyway, and to save their asses in the up coming elections...(I would take that list and see how many of those humps are up for re-election this next year...I know Cornyn is for sure, and he has a primary opponent)...

The second group might have been duped into believing there would be significant (political) blowback, but could be weathered, because of their re-election bid is not in this particular election cycle...And that the moderate/elitist status they so dearly hold onto was more important than the people they represent...

You could throw in a few more factors into the deal, the bottom line is that there is a weakness personified by most of these senators, and they need to be reminded that their longevity in those jobs is at the peoples behest...

But they are hedging their bets that you have a ahort memory, and do not care that they just screwed you and the rest of this country into a hole growing deeper and deeper every single day...

Who is Cornball’s primary opponent? He must not have the funds to make himself known in the least. People in TX I believe will stick with Cornball again.
