hey people/trolls of Twitter: Obama did not leave the White House to play golf this weekend. he spent both days at home.
Loyal Twitchy readers likely escaped a rebuke from Politico reporter Jennifer Epstein tonight, who made it clear that President Obama did not golf this weekend despite having an empty schedule. A tweet promoting her Politico article, “Government shutdown, cancelled trip leaves Obama schedule empty,” had plenty thinking the president took the opportunity to hit the links.
As Twitchy reported yesterday, the president did not go golfing despite summer-like conditions in and around Washington, nor did he leave the White House. Most reporters speculated that decision was based on the poor optics of golfing during a government shutdown that closed open-air monuments and national parks. As Epstein mentioned in her own piece:
Also notable is what Obama is not doing. Aware of the optics of even the most casual outing, the Obamas stayed in to celebrate their 21st wedding anniversary on Thursday, and the president stayed off the golf course over the weekend.
Epstein herself said it was notable that Obama wasn’t golfing, so what makes these people trolls, besides not having read to the end of her article? Somehow the American public has gotten the impression that Obama likes to golf, a lot.

That’s pretty unusual isn’t it. I thought he goes golfing pretty much every day, after he gets his briefing at 11:a.m. and then eats lunch with the Vice President.

Consider the emotions today of all those Federal Employees who have young children.
They are not going to be happy, happy, happy with Barry’s AG Eric Holder for stopping the National AMBER ALERT Program over the weekend.
Surely, Mr. Fast and Furious Holder thought this Amber Alert cancellation through and made an exception for Michelle Obama’s two darling children?
BTW, I wonder if Barry, General of the Senate Harry “Mean Ol’ Guy” Reid, and Colonel of her former self Nancy “Always in a fog” Pelosi realize that other Federal employees ALSO have young children that need to be protected by the National Amber Alert Program?
BTW, BTW, the boy-toy, wanna-be dictator Barry Soetoro, aka Mr. Michelle Obama, COULD order his personal Corporate Jet, Air Force One, to be mothballed, by Executive Order, of course. (He must have a few blank EO forms lying around his empty chair, or his Golf bag - - - ).
That simple gesture just might, could, show that Barry also “feels our pain.”
Barry could also BARRYCADE his own personal Golf Course, and BARRYCADE the Oceans, only on Federal land, of course. (Governors are so touchy these days about THEIR State’s shorelines)!
Just because Obama didn’t go to a golf course doesn’t mean that he couldn’t play with his Putter and his balls.

You have to admit, if the irregular is news, then Obama not golfing is huge news.
They said on The Five that Jay Z is 5’6’’. I was shocked.
