Man, there was a time when FoxNews was on all the time in my house. But the slow degradation into pablum culminated on election night 2012 when Megyn Kelly was giggling like a school girl..

You said it, karatemom. If not for the excellent "Special Report with Bret Baier" and Greta's show - which - in my opinion has risen to the top of the FNC primetime lineup - I'm not sure we'd watch much of FNC at all anymore.

Tired of O'Bloviator's pre-taped "Me Me Me" shows. Tired of Hannity's shouting-match shows (although he does sometimes have excellent guests, and at least he always used to do his shows live, except for Fridays).

I was watching the Red Sox / TB Rays playoff game on TBS earlier tonight... Missed most of Megyn's show. I did notice she started off with Ted Cruz, assuming that would pull in the usual FNC audience. Extremely disappointing Megyn really is the lefty I always thought she was.

Checked Kelly's show again during commercials - she brought out all her lawyer friends to discuss - ad nauseum - the biker/SUV incident. You've GOT to be kidding.

Then I quickly checked Hannity's new 10pm show during commercials, and noticed he's fully on-board taking the lazy way out - using a pre-taped "studio audience" shouting-match show yet again. So this is Hannity's "new" show, where he gets to leave work early now to spend more time at home. No more live shows apparently.

Of course I forgot to watch Greta at 7pm, as I was watching baseball. Forgot to DVR her show. And of course her show doesn't repeat at 1 AM ET anymore, have to wait for 2 AM (no thank you).

What a colossal disappointment Roger Ailes is. He let Megyn PrettyFace totally screw up what was once a stellar, highly-rated mostly conservative line-up of interesting and entertaining political shows. PrettyFace gets the prime 9pm slot, even though Hannity has been the #2 rated show behind O'Reilly for a decade or so.

If Ailes pulls the plug on "Special Report with Bret Baier" and "On the Record with Greta Van Sustern", hubby and I will say good-bye to FNC. And we've been pretty loyal viewers since Day One. (Well, Day One for our cable system was December 2001).

Please... send out your Tweets and e-mails to FNC! I think our complaints resulted in the demise of Shemp Smith at 7pm. Perhaps we can do the same with Megyn PrettyFace and the new FNC primetime lineup...

Yep. Greta is like the grownup there. Calm and reasoned, and interesting. The best.

I agree completely.

It used to be that Fox News was on all the time. Now I find that I'd rather watch Bar Rescue for shouting matches.

Greta's show has risen to the top because of her fresh interviews with topical guests.

Hannity spends too much time with his rote comments and inside jokes with his "enemies on camera, friends off camera" guests.

I fear that this won't end well for Fox News. The liberals won't embrace them until they toe Obama's line, and the conservatives won't stick with them if they sense they are being sold out, abandoned, or left behind at the dance.

And my West Coast schedule won't accommodate the schedule change. Kelly may be Ailes' vision of Fox's future, but it's not mine.

Thanks for your comments.

FOX Chief Roger Ailes has his stable of puppet talking heads committed to an either-or format.

This is the classic juvenile, two dimensional approach to any topic.

The problem is that the adult audience is multi-dimensional.

If the guest is Conservative, then Roger has his puppets speak as a Liberal, and visa versa.

We adult Conservatives choose NOT to listen to the low-information Liberal news outlets, and find hearing it repeated on FOX to be a waste of time for us.

Time is precious to us!

The adult Conservative audience is interested in contrasting a Conservative opinion with an opinion that THEY are interested in.

For example:
* How does this Conservative opinion impact reducing the National Debt caused by our sorry Federal politicians in “both” political parties?
* Is this Conservative opinion consistent with the US Constitution?
* If this Conservative opinion were to be implemented, would it be good for the Country?
* Comparing this Conservative opinion with similar Conservative opinions from the past, what has been the history of the effects of those opinions?
* Etc, etc, etc.

Sadly, these questions are rarely asked by The Media, or for that matter in the Halls of the US Congress.

As a result, The Media has to sell their advertising by dashing, 24/7, from one high-emotion, breaking news story to another.

Also, the result is that only 10 % of Americans are interested in what the sorry US Congress does with the tax dollars of the 53 % who still pay personal FIT.

Like any other “Bubble,” the looming Media Bias Bubble of the Libs and Fox, is usually denied or ignored as it nears the bursting point.

The Media is no exception, as they have chosen to wallow in the gutter of rudeness, low-information news, and a narrow two dimensional approach to their primary job of selling advertising.

Back in the day, (1990’s), CNN had a true Reporter named Lynne Russell. Her delivery of the news was without a hint of “Journaling.”

Today, only the lady on CNBC that reports from DC on real estate news is a true Reporter.

All the rest, IMHO, on all news outlets, “Journal” the news to us, and at a level that THEY think we can absorb.

Can you say “ELITE JOURNALISM?”

Yeah, I know that is redundant - - - .

Same here...used to have FoxNews on SO much of the time that their emblem was *burned* in to the lower left corner of our old TV screen.

I haven't watched FoxNews on any consistent basis since 2010. Tuned in for a little bit on election night and turned it off, for good, with the exception of Greta.

When Megs asked Ted Cruz what it was like "to be the most hated man in America", I knew exactly what kind of lib drivel her show will be about. No thanks.

I think Hannity is pre-taping his show since he got dissed. Like you said, he had the #2 show for a decade...and Megs taking over is the thanks he gets?

I like your idea about the tweets, etc to Fox.
