A troubled young mother is shot dead and our ruling class applauds.
An unarmed 34-year-old woman suffering from postpartum depression is surrounded by the authorities while sitting in her car, and gunned down in cold blood. She is blocked in. She cannot move. And yet she is killed by heavily armed security officers. Her one-year old child witnesses this from the back seat. Why is this not a national tragedy?
Miriam Carey was a young African-American woman who wanted to better herself. She went to college and graduated with a BA degree in health and nutrition science. She became a dental hygienist. One of her neighbors noted that it was obvious she was educated. She gave birth to her daughter a year ago and began to suffer from postpartum depression. She displayed some irrational behavior and was put on medication.
Thus far it’s not an uncommon story. About 50% of women who give birth suffer from postpartum depression. A friend of mine was on medication for more than 8 years after her daughter was born. This might conceivably happen to my daughter. Or to one of Obama’s daughters, come to think of it.
Then, on October 3, Miriam crashed her car into a security barrier near the White House. She was surrounded by security men shouting at her and pointing high-power guns. Was it so irrational to try to escape, to protect her daughter from men pointing pistols at her? A chase ensued, and she then crashed her car into a median somewhere in the vicinity of the Congress. She was blocked by security forces from several agencies. She could not move. She was unarmed, and alone save for her daughter. In her car, unprotected. And then she was killed...

That’s just BS. She wasn’t just sitting in her car when she was surrounded by authorities. By the time that happened, she’d driven her car into an unauthorized area around the White House, when questioned by SS, she spun the car around, struck an SS officer, and raced from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue to Capitol Hill, some 1.5-2.0 miles away. En route she no doubt blew thru traffic lights, and endangered the lives of all who walk those streets. That is not just “sitting in her car.”

Watching the video it looked like they didn’t position another car to prevent her backing up and leaving when you saw about 4-6 around the car with their pistols out.

There is much much more to this story than the face value given by the lamestream media.
Two points not covered by the msm.
1) There is video of the car chase that shows that there was a second adult passenger in the cars front passenger seat.
2) Several witnesses heard gunshots into the car AFTER the car was stopped and the child removed from the car.
Some kind of false flag? What? I dunno, But something is rotten in Denmark.
It should be ‘in fear FOR her life.’
This case is different with the killing of an unarmed Black mother occurred under Bush, under similar circumstances, you can bet the corrupt MSM and race baiters would have been all over this as being Bush's fault.
As I mentioned previously, look up James Byrd. Bush had absolutely nothing to do with this and yet during his campaign the race baiters tried to directly connect Bush to this.
Maybe it all sounds a little bit off because it is. Every single one of these recent shootings has had reports of multiple shooters and then a few hours later that all dies down and there is just one poor patsy on psychotropic drugs left to prosecute.
If the narrative would change even one time I might agree with you but it never does change does it?
If you can believe that the ATF illegally walked guns across the Mexican border in order to gin up support for gun control or that the US ammbassador to Libya in conjuction with the Sec of State was illegally running guns to the Syrian rebels or the IRS possibly at the behest of the WH was targeting Tea Party groups for scrutiny then why is the idea of the govt running drugged up patsies for false flag incidents so hard to swallow?
I look for these kinds of incidents to increase in direct proportion to Barry Cades desparation as his presidency devolves.

I saw no serious damage to the front of Carey's vehicle. I saw no broken windows. Gunfire starts after 9 seconds. The vehicle is already moving.
For the last fify years there would be demonstrations, maybe riots, over police brutality. Now, crickets!

It all depends on who is dealing out the brutality. If Bush was still in office the MSM would be screaming and AL and Jesse and the NAACP would be marching. But they won’t this time because they don’t bite the hand that feeds them.
The feds will do anything to protect their sugar daddies. During that chase a police car speeding down a road set off an automatic barrycade. His patrol car was demolished and he was sent to the hospital.
And Congress gave them standing O!
In my state, shooting at a vehicle in the manner that you describe is considered to be deadly conduct. It's a felony. If you use a weapon in self-defense, it's justified against another person, not a vehicle.
By the way its not slander to point out that your thinking on this is wrong.
It's slander to claim I approved of what they did. I don't. I simply understand why they made that choice, and believe that it was justifiable under the law.
The cops are not supposed to be meting out street justice over something of this lack of magnitude.
Why are you so sure that they were "meting out street justice"? It's more likely that she did something threatening the last time she was stopped, like trying to back out AGAIN, over someone standing behind the car.
You have been so quick to claim what might have happened, and what the cops should have done. I'm looking at what happened, and what a legal response would have been, in the context of what was known at the time.
It's easy to play armchair quarterback in retrospect, with all the information. But, the police didn't have all the information. At the most, they knew:
They didn't know there was an 18-month old toddler in the car. They didn't know she was probably suffering from a medical disorder that impaired her judgment. All they knew is what the driver had done so far, and it isn't difficult to see how that could be considered threatening behavior.
If the police had arrested this lady she would likely have ended up after a mental health evaluation paying a fine and losing her drivers license for 12 months. That would have been the end of it.
Yes, and that is exactly what would have happened if she hadn't fled from the White House -- striking a Secret Service agent, and again after almost being boxed in at the US Capitol. And while I haven't seen a video of what happened at the third stop, I seriously doubt anyone shot her because she was sitting meekly in the car. If she had surrendered at that time, your alternative would have played out.
That's what should have happened. She had the opportunity three different times. She chose otherwise. Yes, it is probably because her brain chemistry was so screwed up she didn't know better, but the police didn't know that.
