Why Is This Not a National Tragedy? A troubled young mother is shot dead and our ruling class...

A troubled young mother is shot dead and our ruling class applauds.

An unarmed 34-year-old woman suffering from postpartum depression is surrounded by the authorities while sitting in her car, and gunned down in cold blood. She is blocked in. She cannot move. And yet she is killed by heavily armed security officers. Her one-year old child witnesses this from the back seat. Why is this not a national tragedy?

Miriam Carey was a young African-American woman who wanted to better herself. She went to college and graduated with a BA degree in health and nutrition science. She became a dental hygienist. One of her neighbors noted that it was obvious she was educated. She gave birth to her daughter a year ago and began to suffer from postpartum depression. She displayed some irrational behavior and was put on medication.

Thus far it’s not an uncommon story. About 50% of women who give birth suffer from postpartum depression. A friend of mine was on medication for more than 8 years after her daughter was born. This might conceivably happen to my daughter. Or to one of Obama’s daughters, come to think of it.

Then, on October 3, Miriam crashed her car into a security barrier near the White House. She was surrounded by security men shouting at her and pointing high-power guns. Was it so irrational to try to escape, to protect her daughter from men pointing pistols at her? A chase ensued, and she then crashed her car into a median somewhere in the vicinity of the Congress. She was blocked by security forces from several agencies. She could not move. She was unarmed, and alone save for her daughter. In her car, unprotected. And then she was killed...

This driver was hell-bent on causing trouble, possibly killing many people in the process.

Whatever.

That Infinity sure had a strong nose, given those White House barriers it challenged!

The sheeple believe what the media tells them.

Sadly you are correct.

Got to remember that cars have been used for as bomb weapons. Sadly, the police had NO CHOICE.

They had lots of choices. They chose to execute an unarmed woman. Funny how the boot lickers here are quick to talk about how delusional that woman was but nothing about the manic paranoia of the thugs with badges and the inaginary car load od C4 that she didn't have or their psychotic hallucinations of a japanese sub compact car smashing through the same baricades that destroyed one of their own full sized cruisers that day.

Why are you making a BIG DEAL over this?

Yeah, silly me. Murder is no big deal when the cops do it. We should all just shut the f*** up and bow to our betters who are more equal than the rest of us.

Let the investagation take place and the answers will be found there. If the police did wrong, that answer will be revealed and those responsible will be charged.

Otherwise, the woman had made her car into a weapon against other people, which included her daugther, and even if she had a mental illness, there was still NO EXCUSE for what she did, put others into danger.

Thanks for posting the link to the video.

It appears that she was trying to make a U-turn and bumped a barricade. Then she backed up and bumped a police car. What the video shows is a far cry from attempting to "crash through" the barricade and "ramming" the police car.

But what really caught my attention is that she was already being chased by several police cars when she tried the U-turn. Why were they chasing her? What transpired before she got to the barrier? I've heard nothing about that, have you?

Yes, there will be the typical white wash and sweeping things under the rug. That’s what passes for the police investigating themselves. Hide it behind all the CAPS LOCK BULLSHIT you want. They murdered an unarmed woman.

We either live in the same town or yours is not the only one. It was lovely here during the 6 months or so that we had no police. Now they are back ticketing people left and right to refill the county coffers.

You forgot she was ARMED, with the car. Cars CAN and DO become weapons which put other people into DANGER.

No, cars are transportation. You don’t get to use her car as a drop gun to justify murder. You don’t get to muder someone because they try to run away from you. USING ALL CAPS DOESN’T CHANGE THAT.

Your opinion.

The question I have is, why are you defending this woman?

Plus do not accuse all and I mean ALL LE people of doing wrong please.

I was help a few times in my life by LE’s. While there are a FEW rotten apples out there, do not make it like it is all of them. Let the investagation DO ITS WORK.

Thank-you.

I am done responding to you.

No, there are no “good” apples. If there were, they would be arresting all of the bad apples with badges. AND USING ALL CAPS DOESN’T MAKE YOUR ARGUMENT ANY BETTER.

It's a little to do any defending here now. With her being all dead and stuff. I'm wondering why you are defending the people who murdered her.

I have gotten to meet a number of very good apples who are first responders in my life. They have done very well in my eyes.

Sadly, you are WRONG again and have lost the debate.

CASE IS CLOSED.
