Well, that didn't work either. Let me explain about "hot linking." Some websites block your use of their images because when you post a picture directly from them, it eats their bandwidth. It seems that the picture you found, Obama and gollum, has been blocked by the blogspot.
There are ways to get the picture to an image host such as Photobucket or imgur or tinypic, and thus bypass using the the original site's bandwidth. The image hosts are free, but the storage space is limited.
