It’s a good thing Jay Leno wasn’t around back when The Supreme Court decided slavery was Constitutional. “My guest tonight is John Brown. Mr. Brown, The Supreme Court said slavery is okay. So, what’s your beef, hah?”

I agree with this writer, but Mt. Vernon was Washington’s home, not Jefferson’s.

Leno has a legitimate position. The people didn’t directly ask for Obamacare since it wasn’t an issue in either 2008 or 2012 but they did elect Democrats which implicitly gave the statists free reign. Let them have it.

conversation between Jay Leno and his “guest,” Newt Gingrich. Leno challenged the former Republican Speaker of the House with, “Here’s the part I don’t understand with the Affordable Care Act; Why should Obama negotiate?

So what did Newt say?

Jay Leno’s statement exhibits the statist worldview of defending a Democratic Party oligarchy.

Mr. Baisley, please stop using that word. There's NOTHING democratic about the Democrat party.

This is way they warned that electing an America-hating foreigner to the presidency wouldn’t be a very good idea.

A quick review of recent history: On the same night when Barack Obama was first elected to the presidency, the 111th Congress was also elected with a strong majority of 255 Democrats in the House of Representatives over a minority of 179 Republicans. At the same time, 57 Democrats plus their 2 simpatico Independent members held control of the Senate over 41 Republicans. In March of 2010, that same 111th Congress passed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, commonly known as Obamacare.Every Congressional Republican voted against the passage of Obamacare.

What many / most do not realize / remember is what was going on in that sausage factory at that time. First thing was that the Democrats LOCKED OUT the GOP from all deliberations on the writing of the bill.

Second was that it was a procedural mess with questionable actions in both the House and Senate.

Third, and maybe most important, the bill signed was not supposed to be the final law!!! That idiotic tax on medical devices is just one example of the bureaucratic back and forth that was going on at the time. Much of the bill was written by lobbyists and interest groups and designed to be worked on in a final conference session between both DEMOCRAT chambers.

Then the UNTHINKABLE HAPPENED, Ted Kennedy's Senate seat was won by a REPUBLICAN, Scott Brown! When he was sworn in, he would give the Senate a cloture-proof 40 GOP votes. It was only by getting the Massachusetts state government to slow his confirmation by the maximum time possible that the Senate voted out this abortion and it went to Obama's pens.

By the way, can anybody tell me who that Webster-like kid was at the president's right hand in the signing ceremony? You keep seeing him so I presume that he was a health care poster child of some kind.

For any of you who want to know how Newt responded to Leno (and to get an idea about Leno's politics and general stupidity), here is the video link...Leno and Gingrich on Tonight Show.

Jump ahead to the 37:00 minute point to catch Newt.

The Obama Adminstration even locked out visitors to Mount Vernon, Thomas Jefferson’s home.

Monticello was Jefferson's home. Mount Vernon was Washington's home.
