Not to mention any names but my son’s company requires their people to be under a certain BMI number. If they are over they pay a percentage of their healthcare based on how far over they are.

bmi is a crap statistic. my bmi is near 30 and i play racquetball 2 + hours a week and walk at least every other day. my cholesterol and bp are great. half the linemen in the nfl are obese if judged by bmi. have them take a pt test to judge fitness, not some bs government chart.

I think BMI is a dumb metric. It suggests I’m overweight at 12 percent body fat; I’d look like a scarecrow if I were to meet their idea of a “healthy” weight.
