I work with relocating & transitioning people just like this couple (downsizing & packing up households, moving them into assisted living, retirement communities or smaller homes). They are not "meek" so much as they can be confused and overly trusting.
Some elderly people are easily disoriented by too much information being thrust at them, and hearing loss and/or beginning dementia can be huge factors. I see how the trauma & upset of a simple relocation, even within the same campus, can afflict a person in their later years. What is being done to these people is absolutely despicable!
I'd bet a month's salary that this story won't see the light of "lamestream news" any day soon. Makes me want to spit!
Well, you know, WE can be news too. We’re on this internet aren’t we? We can read? We can tell? We can post stuff? Do we have Facebook accounts? Let’s quit wailing about what we do not have, and use what we do have, to pierce the ignorance. Before the Lord, the devil’s a paper tiger. The devil’s weapons are lies about what we supposedly can’t do. They are hogwash. Reach for God’s grace and watch the miracles. That simple!
