Not only guns but Indians and people circling wagons around a campfire.
Talked with a guy at BC in Dallas this week. He is slightly over 50, has lived in Dallas his whole life and has never been to the Hill Country or the Gulf and didn’t know they had trees in East Texas. Said the Hill Country was too far and he didn’t think there was anything out there worth seeing.
When my daughter was alive one Saturday a month we’d pack a go bag and take off in the car in one direction or the other without a map and never drove on the freeway. If we saw an interesting road we’d go exploring. Such a wonderful state we live in and so many awesome things to see.
We do the same thing with our kids now. Could spend a solid year exploring this state and still not see it all. How you must treasure those memories with your daughter.
