Gov. Scott could cement his re-election right now by running the “Navigators” out of the state, arresting the Park Service “Police,” and re-opening the Bay.
The State Board of Trustees erred when they transferred those waters to the Fedgov. As per the FL Constitution the title to the Navigable waters of the State are held in trust for the citizens and can not be wholly alienated from them. This is also backed up by case law in the FL and U.S. Supreme Courts.
I think it’s time to return ownership back to the people of Florida. BTW, the State FWC is doing a far better job of managing the fisheries.
