I “lived” in the WDC area for 30 years. These Fed “workers” always get retroactive pay for any stoppage. ALWAYS.

The work stops, but the wasteful spending never does.

The problem with the bureaucrats is that also the work never starts...at least truly productive work. There are an incredible percentage of Fed “workers” who are make-work jobs.
