One girl in particular was from UC Berkeley. She was happily expounding the goodness of big government. I wasn’t intending to say it’s a California problem only. Even the conservative kids on the show were naïve about how serious the problem is.

The Conservative, the girl from Virginia who is President of her college's Republican Club, said she believed in Gay marriage. She basically said we were never going to win a National election again if we didn't change our view on that. Marriage has never been a right. My problem with this argument has always been, ‘why change the definition of a word to make some people feel better about themselves. Which other words do you want to change the definition of to accommodate a few (nationally speaking) people?'. I was also disappointed in the Conservatives he chose as they didn't speak with as much conviction as the Libs. But I guess that is the real difference between logic and emotion. When logic is on your side, you SHOULD be able to be soft spoken yet still convincing. And the Libs did overspeak the Conservatives AND Hannity. Rude and boorish but I figure that is all they have known all their lives. They (all of the youth) have been indoctrinated in schools, not taught critical thinking. A consequence of the Libs completely running the education system for 40 years.

I certainly agree that even the conservative students
were naive but then they don’t have the advantage
of professor-mentors for the most part. And that
Hannity makes me cringe even more around young
people than older folks. He has not the smarts
to argue beyond the most superficial level.
