Isn’t it easier to think 26+10=36, then add the last 7 to get 43. Seems unnecessarily complicated.

That’s more or less what I would have done...depending on how much I felt like focusing or making it easy on myself maybe 26+10=36, 36+4=40, 40+3=43. I suck at math and have always sucked at math, lol.
