Panic probably. When you're being shot at none of them look safe or friendly. I really think that they killed a lost tourist and now they are left to spin a dialogue to cover their tracks.

There is no logical reason for the police to act the way they did. Good grief! Instead of just backing off and letting her make the roundabout and come BACK to them, they followed her?

More stories are coming out. She was from Somalia, her boyfriend saying she was on medication for post partum depression, etc.

The fact is, the survivors write the narrative, and the federal government has perfected its CYA mode.
