Carly Fiorina, the former Hewlett-Packard CEO Northern California Republican who ran as a conservative to get the Republican Senate nomination in 2010, attacked Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) on Wednesday, saying there was "no honor" in his fight to defund Obamacare.
Fiorina made her remarks just days after she joined the American Conservative Union, an establishment organization on the right that supports comprehensive immigration reform.
In an appearance on CNN's The Lead, Fiorina blamed the government shutdown on Cruz and implied that Republicans would have been better off waiving the white flag from the beginning on eliminating Obamacare.
"There's no honor in charging a hill that you know you can't take, only casualties, although Ted Cruz maybe got name recognition and money along the way," she said. "But President Obama wanted this shutdown. And Ted Cruz played right into his hands."
Fiorina said she felt "badly for [House Speaker] John Boehner" and emphasized that "this is Ted Cruz and President Obama's shutdown."
"Everybody could see this train wreck coming," Fiorina said.

Ted Cruz attracts the best enemies. He’s doing it right!!
If they do, they are creating their own demise. This movement is the GOPs last chance before they become irrelevant. There will either be a conservative GOP or another conservative party.
I’ve said this before when freepers were hoisting Palin for the 2012 prez elections back in 2010. Everyone here was giving Palin a bulls-eye with the worship and enough time for the enemedia to throw missiles at her, and the same applies now to Cruz.
Everyone should keep their Cruz worship to a minimum until the primaries, or everyday the MSM will annihilate him.
Who cares what this loser thinks?
She endorsed that a POS McCain as well. Some of us will never, ever forget that.
>> Governor Palin endorsed Fiornia in 2010.
Water is wet.
Who did you prefer in that race?
God bless you Ted Cruz. Flushing the heretics out in the open.
Where was the honor in destroying HP?
I can't believe I actually defended this broad once for her term at Lucent.
The MSM will annihilate him no matter what we do, what shocks me is that the insiders within the Republican party are out for Cruz’s head.
Once again, for argument’s sake, proving it is conservatives who are open to differences in opinions and being practical in decision making. It is us who will still vote for the candidate even if they do not share all our views. Clearly a staunch conservative will not win a seat in CA. The argument is that Fiorina would have been clearly better than that witch Boxer. Of course, this action here against Cruz bring to the table whether it is better to let deep blue seats go to the lefties and fight for the moderate states and conservatives in very red states, rather than adding more white flag liberal Republicans into the discussion to muck up the works.
If I were to criticize one thing about Palin endorsements, it is that she too often goes with the female even when there are better candidates in the race. More often than not she gets it right, but she does place a very high value on supporting female candidates.
She endorsed Juan McLoser and Booby Hatch too.
This is the difference between the Dems and the Reps. You NEVER see a Dem bashing a sitting Dem senator. Ever.
Democrats have one enemy: Conservative republicans. Oh sure, maybe a liberal republican will aggravate them once in a while but they agree more often than not.
Conservative republicans have two enemies: Democrats and liberal republicans. It’s a toss up to say who’s worse.
I bet Sarah would like that endorsement back.
Carley, baby, the difference between Cruz and you is he WON and you didn’t. Why on earth would anyone pay any attention to a loser like you. You failed as a CEO and you failed as a senate candidate. Go take your bitter advice and try to peddle it to someone dumb enough to care.
It seems that even those Republican folks seem to believe that if they just get along with the socialists that they will survive. Well, maybe so but they are not part of any solution to the problem.
Just great, even Republican’s are worrying about their upcoming IRS interview. Who says that Government does not control output (isn’t that a Socialist view). Seems that the Government is winning here - again. Will take time to make folks understand that the Constitution is not just a document.
I posted it because you have another instance of Republican backstabbing.
You never try. Ergo you never win right? Surrender monkey. Two words for you: Ronald Reagan. He didn't win the first time either.
