One crazy lady in a car locks down DC. Multitudes of cops, choppers, etc. magically appear despite the Govt. shutdown. From what I have surmised so far, the woman in car did not have a gun.

Don’t be too hard on him, adguy.
Those folks in Armor tend to get that way after too many of the DISTINCTLY strange attempts at humor they get from pilots (fixed wing and helos) who get rewarded for shooting tanks. (Known simply to most of ‘em as Large, Slow, High-Value Target.)
I’ve accused quite a few of my students of having near-sexual arousal at the mere sight of an armored vehicle coming within range, and it didn’t matter WHICH side the thing happened to be.
...gotta have something to do with that fireworks show or all the loud noise, I guess.
