my expwrience...
i wanted to do shows for the wounded soldiers at waltwr reed. the uso got involves and had a ton of paperwork and told to wait until it got approved.
the commandant knew of us fr people so he got me some clearance paperwork and said to do it without the uso.
we did shows for four years, once a month, bringing in headliner comedians and up and coming music acts...u.til they closed the base. we looked into the va hospital and the uso made sure we did not bypass them, so we stopped.
the uso does good work, but sone powerhungry people don’t want anyone stealing their limelight.
depends...how many fleas is the dog carrying?
Reminds me of an old saying we had on the Farm:
“A cat can give birth to kittens, in an empty oven, but that don’t make ‘em biscuits.”

Happy Christmas
Ya win the blender, ya buy the drinks!
I luvs me some biscuits....the sailboat I singlehanded to Hawaii and back was named AB&G
stood for Almost Biscuits and Gravy
Ah,I was a Scout, my kids were Scouts, I was a leader and Cookie Mom. My living room was full of boxes of cookies. Our troop was a combined troop of about 40 girls.
I do so dearly love me some biscuits and gravy.
Cracker Barrel does OK with them.
Waffle House has ‘em but for some reason they like to fry the biscuit first.

While I was in college ( i was engaged, but not engaged in a certain activity), but I had no idea what a condom looked like. Dorms were segregated by boys/girls and if as a gal (me) you went into the boy dorm to study, the door had to be open and only allowed in until a certain time (at night). When we went into the dorm, I saw all these cool, opaque, elongated balloons rolling down the hallway. (I was the only gal in the group, we were studying for an engineering class). I said, “cool, where do you get balloons like that”? All the guys laughed and my boyfriend had to take me aside and tell me. Dang I was embarrassed.
Reports I heard was that there was no gun of any type in her car. Whether or not she had one with her as she ran, unknown.
OMG; I’m laughing so hard I’m crying!! Whomever parodied “Kokomo” did a helluva job.

I wanted to be a tanker and ended up a 13 E, FDC. 3 years later I was in Germany and assigned as a forward observer for a tank company. since the battery was short 1 2LT, I got to be the company FO. I spent the next two years commanding and FOing from an M-60A2 tank. Thus I became a tanker. Years later, after being commissioned I showed up to be the Cav Sqdn S-2 and the commander asked “how do you like the cold down here at Graf (I arrived in Feb and the squadron was at gunnery) I said- Is isn’t much different from before sir, I’m prior service and this is my 14th or 15th trip here and I was with B-1-32 armor for 2 years as FO experimenting with FIST and had to qualify on table 8....That ended my being a “MI weinie” in the commanders eyes and I was accepted as a family member.
Not sure, I’ve used it for so long.
Search “Rodney Carrington” on YouTube and you’ll laugh yourself silly.
