Not all cops are bad, but most of them seem to be nowadays. If they aren’t shooting unarmed people or their dogs, they are making excuses for them.
I find Sheriffs and Deputies to be better than city cops in my dealing with them. maybe it is because they still work “for the people” as you say instead of being Revenue Enhancement Officers.
Plus also sheriffs also run for that public office.
