Early Thursday morning, Potomac Research Group analyst Greg Valliere predicted that if the debt-ceiling deadline grew closer, President Barack Obama would play his "trump card" in the debate. He would remind seniors that if Congress doesn't raise the debt ceiling, seniors wouldn't get their Social Security checks.
"GOP strategists like Karl Rove surely know that it's just a matter of time before President Obama throws a game-changer — warning senior citizens that their Social Security checks won't be mailed because of John Boehner," Valliere wrote in a note to clients.

It is a file cabinet in a building in West Virginia where Harry Byrd got the Senate to locate it. But... there’s only a lockbox full of slips of paper— that say “The US goverment promises to pay back .....x amount to the Social Security Trust fund”.
ie. the lawyers did what they always do-— raid a trust fund. This one is supposed to be self-sustaining and invested.
another question— how much does the fed gov take in each day in revenue? Direct to gov. coffers? It is quite a lot in excise tax alone.

I’ve had my hard earned money ripped from my hands by our leftist government in the name of Social Security since 1960 and I am still paying into it since I still work for a living.
It was never called a tax but a “CONTRIBUTION.”
Now, we know where the “CONTRIBUTION” is going to be spent....on welfare to support the bums and illegals in our society (those who cheat the system and don’t pay taxes) along with all of the anti-Constitutional Marxist/Socialist programs that have appeared on an ever increasing rate since the demise of our morals and ethics in this society.
I guess the next thing that will happen is that (like in Dr. Zhivago) the government will confiscate my large home and let 3 or 5 families of “new” American citizens from Mexico move in with me.
The time has come to take back our country and the next few years are our only chance to do it by peaceful means.
