The Democrats are increasing no longer beholden, answerable to their constituents, the electorate. Provided monies (lobbyists) demands and receives their utmost attention, their votes nowadays.
Both columnists Ann Landers, and her Sister 'Dear Abby' were lamenting in the 1990's about society's decreasing civility, increasing rudeness, coarseness towards others. That respect for differing viewpoints, opposing opinions used to be heard, evaluation, measured and taken as a possible valid position.
