I had that first Yorkie, Baby, for 16 years. After my husband died in 2011, I had time for another Yorkie, so I got FIVE WEEK OLD Yorkie, “Prissy”.
Took her straight to the vet for a check-up. The doc asked me how old I was. I said 77 and he laughed. I said, “What, since I am 77, you want me to pick a half dead dog?” “So the dog won't outlive me??”
If anything happened to me, I've got a friend who would take her in a minute. What a disgusting thing - if you are old, get an old dog - disgusting.

I didn’t think I would want another dog, but I’m sort of read right now, however, DrO won’t entertain the thought.
My best friend here, is probably my own doctor, whom I’m going to see tomorrow morning, and he told me that he would take my new dog, if I got one, should that new dog out live me.
Well, my doctor is older than me! Thanks very much! It’s HIS job to keep ME alive.

We have the “Mom” rose bushes that almost constantly bloom.
They both loved roses. :)

Yeah, it’s amazing and my Jordan was so happy to see that huge ring of flowers around the St Francis statue when she arrived here this summer. Jack was her companion, too.

my doctor is older than me My doc was my age and he just retired. He was my doc for 30+ years. We know each other very well and became friends. I used to joke on physical day saying "naked time!".
I have his protege now, a nice looking lady. Guess I can't do that anymore :)
