The Manhattan DA’s office won’t press charges against one of the motorcycle thugs who allegedly terrorized and beat a man after a wild chase on the West Side Highway, and is reluctant to prosecute another, sources said Wednesday. Allen Edwards, 43, of Queens, who allegedly smashed Alexian Lien’s rear driver’s side window with his fist, surrendered to cops Tuesday morning but will not be charged, the sources said.

So? What does that matter? He was injured and his property
was damaged. Not to mention the trauma his family went through
at the hand of the punks.
You know that dumbass biker didn’t have to participate in
the harassment and gang around the innocent Chinese family
who were minding their own business. It was his fault and

The entire biker gang should be rounded up and hanged. Each one, as a willing participant of the gang activity, is guilty of every crime, up to and including attempted murder of the driver and his family, that was committed by each and every member of the gang.
I was in a similar situation when I was 4-yrs-old. My parents, me, and my brother were traveling on a highway, going home after a day of shopping. As we were driving down the highway, a truck in front of us slammed on his brakes so hard that my brother and I almost flew over the back seat (days before there were seat belts). My dad changed lanes and the truck swerved in front of us. To make a long story short, he started playing chicken with us. My dad was finally able to get around him and as we passed him, his equally crazy passenger (a woman) pointed a shotgun out the window at us. My mom put my brother and myself on the floorboard. He followed us all the way to the nearest police station and my dad just honked the horn as loud as he could and when the police came out, they pulled the drunk guy out and arrested him. Let me tell you; I’m 55 yrs old and will NEVER forget the terror of that incident. My dad was no cry-baby (ex-paratrooper); and both of my parents were extremely shaken. When you find yourself in that kind of awful situation, it’s very hard to keep a clear mind as to what to do.
The media at every level has gotten this story so sideways and half assed that most of the comments here aren’t related to anything. The event started when the SUV guy tail-gated and then rammed a first biker, injuring him. The remaining bikers surrounded the SUV and forced it to the curb. At least one of the bikes was parked in front of the SUV with its rider off starting to talk to the driver. The SUV driver, who appears to be oriental by the way and maybe out of his water, gunned the SUV runing over the off-bike guy and the parked bike. The remaining bikers chased him down and forced him to stop in town traffic. The windo-breaking didn’t start until the driver refused to get out and talk. The second biker who got hurt is in really tough shape, having gotten completely run over.
It’s worth noting that these bikes weren’t HOGS, just street bikes more or less medium sized, with none of the riders dressed in leathers, etc. They were not a tattooed-up bunch of hells angels types and shouldn’t have struck fear in the heart of a dumbass SUV pilot. Note also that the SUV was in the center of three lanes when he rammed the first bike. If he was in a hurry all he had to do was shift to the left lane. I nominate the SUV genius as dumbass of the year.

Except that there is a video. Did you watch the video which shows the biker harassing and brake-checking the SUV?
You need to look again. Your description of events comes from halfassed media explanations by people who are not good at geometry, bikes, cars, or anything else. For instance how and who on a bike would try to cut off a full-sized SUV? The SUV REAR-ENDED the first bike.

Uh, there was a bike to his left in that lane. Plus numerous bikes speeding and passing making it unsafe to switch lanes.

Should I believe you or my own lying eyes? The video clearly shows the guy on the bike brake checking the boxed in diver causing the accident. The video clearly shows bikers running up to the SUV and breaking the window..no waiting for anyone to get out. And not that it matters but the injured guy's facebook page shows him laying in the hospital bed and the tats up and down his arm are plain to see.
I think the only facts you got right was that there was an SUV and a bunch of motorcycles.

It’s called brake-checking. A well know illegal maneuver by bikers and street racers. A few years back a Harley rider decided to brake-check a motorhome. He lost his life. Motorhome driver was not charged.
Chinese driver did panic and greatly injure one rider, mangling his legs. this is what set things off.

The dipshit biker who slowed down intentionally in front of the the SUV driver, got hit as a result of his stupid ass move and got his leg broken in the process set this off.
No sympathy for the bikers at all. None. Zero. Zilch.
