How could this guy’s fine be over $4,000 when he has a salary of $45,000?!?!
The fine is up to 1% of your salary (not sure if that is Adjusted Gross or total ... I wish someone could find this out for sure).
His max fine sould be no more than $450.
Good point. This is a red herring. We ought to be careful about spreading these things. The real numbers are more than sufficient to produce an outcry.
