According to their 2012 Annual Report, gross revenue (net of uncollectible fees for service) was $879.4 million. So $45 million is a chunk!
Revenue isn’t income. Income is whats left after expenses are deducted from revenues. we can say they have a negative margin of 5.1%, that is to say for every dollar in revenue they will lose about a nickel providing revenue were to stay the same. I am sure they are looking at greater revenues with smaller reimbursements thus accounting for the loss.
