The "tax subsidies" for Congressional staff is a bit of a red herring, I think. Like many people, my employer covers a (significant) portion of my health insurance premiums - the only reason Congressional staffers would receive a "tax subsidy" to offset the cost of their premiums is because their employer happens to be the FedGov. They get a "tax subsidy" now (before ObamaCare), because their employer (FedGov) pays a portion of their premiums.
Yes, but your employer places the cost of your healtcare into the goods or services they provide. Consumers have a choice whether to purchase it, or not. We don’t have a choice in providing tax revenue to the government.....or seemingly any input as to how they spend it.
