We should not count on modern technology, even as we hope it stays with us.

It is time to start writing on good paper, with indelible ink, what we remember about our understanding, our experiences, and our history, cleansed of all the psychobabble of recent times.

We need to do this for our heirs, but also for ourselves, so that our short presence on this beautiful earth is not in vain.

Get a journal, freepers, and start writing. Write about the good things, and write about the bad, write happy, and write the sad.

It matters, and you are leaving a legacy for the future, and who knows. If we go Fahrenheit 451, your words might be the only ones to re-establish a better future for your heirs.

I agree, with one exception. If you have family members who are not able to write it down, use the technology to collect their oral history. You can transcribe if needed.
