Other competitors include Laura Ingraham (transgender with a cross) and the many names he called Ann Coulter are too vile to be repeated. Though recently he had some really nice things to say about Ms Coulter. Also last I heard he was on friendly terms with Ms Ingraham.

A note about "hemorrhoid with eyes." Savage thought Beck was just wanting publicity or something. Ditto when Limbaugh was hospitalized with what turned out to be NOT a heart attack. Again Savage thought it was all for publicity and to me seemed disappointed that the Number One talk show host was OK.
I think (if i remember correctly), that it started around the time the Dr. was trashed for his view that Autism is diagnosed too much and some which is diagnosed, is NOT Autism. I remember the firestorm around that. Not one heavy hitter helped him. AND then when the BANNED IN BRIT happened, which could have happened with ANY of the heavy hitters in Conservative Talk radio, not a one came out in support of his Free Speech/Right to travel/Doc NOT being a terrorist like some whom are allowed to live in and travel to Britain. I think that really hurt his feelings (i don’t blame him) and I seem to remember that started the golfer and wallbanger stuff. Rush, Hannity, O’Reilly left him dangling when the next talker Britain “banned” could have been any one of them. It was a Free Speech Issue.
