W got on base, and the GOPe went to the bench for a new batter with the same strategery as had been used before.

One could argue that Romney was a subtle difference in strategery in that he had been a State Governator rather than a (non-executive) Senator.

I think the GOPe strategery has been to increasingly ignore the "base" and now that that has become obvious, they are now between the strong lee shore wind and a rock.

Ignoring the base by the GOPe has proven to be a failed policy but they keep trying. I saw a Republican strategist on Fox going on and on about the IMPORTANT people Christie is meeting with..............not one word about the base!

Let’s see how this all works out...usually folks from good ol fly over country wouldnt have anything to do with a NE liberal.

Umm.. No. The narrative was probably, “hey, let’s take the most liberal candidate who implemented the same failed health insurance policy the president did and negate the one thing that would sink the president. Then we can use his wholesomeness, religion and business sense to bring conservatives together to vote for him.”

Hermann Cain would have cleaned Obamas clock.
