Late Saturday evening, Oklahoma Congressman Jim Bridenstine, along with the U.S. House of Representatives once again passed a Continuing Resolution (CR) that accomplishes two objectives: fund the federal government and protect Americans from the harmful effects of ObamaCare.
In a press release sent out late Saturday night, Congressman Bridenstine said, Now the Senate will decide if they are willing to accept the bill as amended in the House or if they are going to shut down the government.
James Madison explained in Federalist No. 58 that the purpose of Article I of the Constitution is to put the power of the purse firmly in the hands of the immediate representatives of the people.
The American people have communicated clearly that they want the government open and they want to stop ObamaCare. The House heard and responded to the voice of the people.
Over a week ago the House passed and sent a CR to the Senate.
That CR funded every aspect of the government except ObamaCare.
The Senate stripped out the ObamaCare defunding and sent the bill back to the House. The House has responded with a CR that simply delays implementation of ObamaCare for one year.
Bridenstine continued, The House has provided a Continuing Resolution to fund the entire government -- twice.

Can’t tell if he is a republican or democrat from the article last
BTW, good luck tomorrow.
The question to be asked is: If it is in the Nations best interest to shut down the Government, then why are there only TWO Federal Politicians, Obama and Reid, loudly advocating shutting down the US Federal Government?
Obama has MANY reasons to shutdown the Federal Government such as:
1.) A headline grabbing story that will distract attention from the Impeachable scandals of:
Benghazi Massacre Dereliction of Duty by Obama as CIC;
Obamacare Insurance managed by the corrupt IRS;
IRS harassment of political opponents of Obama;
Use of the NSA by Obama to spy on everybody in the USA;
etc, etc.
2.) The use of fear of a shutdown might help to protect defunding and eventual abolishment of Obamas narrowly focucused ideological agenda of an European-style, failure-prone, Marxist, monopoly of the US Medical Insurance Industry.
3.) Spreading fear and blame might also preserve Obamas power to increase Obamacare Insurance premiums on an annual basis.
*This would be highly advantageous to Obama as the increase in mandatory insurance premiums would not be a tax, as the unexpected market conditions would be given as the reason for the increase.
*Also there would be no need to ask for the Advice and Consent of Congress, as the IRS would be in complete control of all income and medical records.
4.) The last reason is the most important for Obama, personally: America would at last no longer be a Nation where the Liberty to choose ones own family destiny could ever exist again.
As for Reid, the best guess I have is that he wants a Government Monopoly of the Medical Insurance Industry. Well, to be fair, Reid calls for a single payer system.
My guess is that multi-millionaire Reid, nearing Federal retirement, owns a lot of stock in some companies that are tied to a single payer system.
Maybe the NSA, or the IRS can find out for us?
Im going to as my US Senator from TEXAS, The Esteemed Senator John To Hell with my voters Cornyn to check on this for me - - - .
It’s about time that the House recognizes it’s equal authority with the Senate.
Republican. There are no federal Democrats from Oklahoma.
I will have you in my prayers tomorrow Jim.
Way to go, Oklahoma!
Looks like your recent reminder. A FR reader perhaps?
Thank you very much, Vendome. God bless.
LOL
I know. I’m from Oklahoma.
Twas a curious bit of writing not to include the obligatory last® in the article
And thank you very much, Rusty0604!! Looking forward to this being behind me.
Republican
A Republican. One of our good ones.
I caught that too. I think there are a LOT of DCers that read FR.
Well, a lot of them need the education :)
Bridenstine? Who were his parents, the Bride of Frankenstein and Frankenstein himself?
That’s what you take away from this, his name sounds funny to you? Sheesh.
He is my congressman and he is one of the best in the House.
I don’t know what’s happening tomorrow but it’s obviously something personal and serious that needs luck and prayers. I generally go to FR, then Drudge and then other sites on the net so I get some idea of what’s going on in the outside world. For starting FR, for maintaining FR, for being first, I am deeply in your debt and I am adding my prayers and all my best wishes for the best outcome tomorrow. Thank you.
And need to “hear it” from Americans.
