Since the stories about NSA eavesdropping and unfair IRS targeting broke in the mainstream, I'm seeing a lot of people on BOTH sides of the isle questioning if this government is worth paying for anymore. We could actually be at a moment where the pendulum starts swinging back the other way again.

I hope you are right. If we start having real, eloquent conservative candidates, we may find out. That is why I have such a hard time judging whether or not the combination of demographics and brainwashing has ensured that the government is unshrinkable at this point. Putting up candidates that have contempt for conservatives means that we just have no real data to make a judgement.

Not to sound like a broken record, this is why what Cruz did was so important. He has started to marginalize this contemptuous wing of the Republican party, and is putting us in a position where we can find out whether this country is the country we all know and love, or the country that the media believes in.

I am as well. Finally people have gotten the clarity that it truly isn’t right vs left as much as it is US vs THEM.

Other than conservatives who are working together, I know of no one who even gives a crap anymore. They are tired of all the circus acts. Those are the ones I spend time talking to, in the attempt to educate them to what is at stake come election time.

It’s just down right exhausting.
