So far today, I think that I've heard about every boogeyman/oblique stroke/horror story that ever occurred to anyone over the past 50 years, but having the State Department fall down and slide off into the Potomac if they don't get a couple trillion bucks mo' skosh has got to be a first.
Damn!
The so-and-so's went and found something original to whine about!
Or do I hear the beginning of some panic attacks goin' on here?
Was out all afternoon. This from C Span
The House Rules Committee meets to set the rules of debate on the set of bills that House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) discussed in the Republican Caucus meeting this morning. The House is in recess subject to the call of the chair.
Speaker Boehner will offer a one-year delay in the implementation of the health care bill and a full repeal of the medical device tax in twi separate bills that fund the government through Dec. 15. An additional bill that would continue troop pay in the event of a government shut down will also be presented.
Once the House Rules Committee passes rules for these bills, the full House will vote on the rules, and then they can proceed to debate and vote the bills. These votes are expected to happen at some point on Saturday evening.
Just saw on CSpan that they are going back into live session at 1730 Eastern......(that leaves me enough time to make some popcorn ;-)
You have to be shittin’ me! They actually said that?
(I have been out. )
