Sen. Ted Cruz on Friday appeared to confirm that he plotted with House conservatives to prevent Republican leadership from shifting strategy in the government shutdown fight.
“We’ve had numerous conversations with numerous members of the House,” Cruz (R-Texas) said after the Senate approved a continuing resolution that was amended by Democrats to preserve funding for ObamaCare.

The conversations indicate that Cruz is seeking to wield influence not only in the Senate but in the House, where the leadership can afford only 16 defections if it wants to pass legislation without relying on Democrats.
A Boehner spokesman declined to comment.

The President is an ex-community organizer. Compromise and negotiation aren't really his MO. It's more like extortion under threat of disorder; manipulation of the legal system; and silver-tongued oratory that excites his backers and misleads those he wishes to extract concessions from.
You also have to consider Obama's street cred. "His" people don't know how little respect he commands internationally, but there's so much MSM attention paid to the budget crisis that he has to stand up and act tough. He's doing it on principle, "for them."

Their histories don’t seem to show they started out as Leftist infiltrators of the Republican Party, so what is it they are either afraid of, or how much is in their offshore for selling out America?

The best way to get rid of ZeroCare is to let it be a flaming debacle while kicking and screaming the warnings. Then win in 2014 and replace it in its entirety watching Zero veto every provision. That will elect a conservative President to finish the job.

There will be two political upheavals in the 2014 election cycle. Rinos will be purged by tea party candidates in the primaries. Democrats will be defeated in the general election.

He’s one of the few who recognize that there is a difference between “conservatives” and “Republican leadership”. This is why they will do their best to crucify him if he runs for POTUS.
