Ted Kennedy and his ilk, was the best guess that I heard back when they rammed this down our throats.
My vote would be for union lawyers and rat senate staffers and all were challenged each day to 'come up with something else we can put in to screw the capitalists'.
IIRC at the time Obama was trying to get “Little Tommy Daschle” into whatever position (I can’t remember at this instant) he was trying to get him into early on in the first four of the Obama debacle it was stated as a reason for his choice it was due Daschle’s involvement in the healthcare bill, and his knowledge of the program as he was so heavily involved in its conception.
I believed from that statement, and Daschle’s prior involvement with the Clinton’s, and that Healthcare debacle that he was a lead in the creation of the mess.
