Israel TV: Iran will have enough uranium for a bomb in 2 months
Times of Israel ^ | Sept 27, 2013 | By Times of Israel staff

Earlier Friday, Israeli newspaper quoted government security source saying Islamic Republic already has at least one nuke.

Hours after an Israeli newspaper quoted a government security source saying that Iran already has at least one nuclear bomb, Israel’s leading Arab affairs analyst offered only a slightly less dramatic assessment, saying the regime in Tehran was no more than “one to two months away” from having sufficient 92% enriched uranium to build its first bomb.

Ehud Yaari, the veteran analyst of Israel’s top-rated Channel 2 TV News, added that Iran also had more sophisticated centrifuges becoming available soon that could cut that time down to just “two or three weeks.”

For the CURRENT regime, I’m absolutely with you. The Mullahs in charge right now may greenlight a schoolbus being blown up now and again, but a full-on assault would see their entire empire blown to radioactive kibble if things got desperate enough for Israel...and they darn well know it. And nukes are about the only deterrent that will keep the USA from trying another Iraqian “liberation”.

The real worry IMHO is that a more-fiery, less-intelligent faction will bowl them over, hand everyone with a John Thomas and a hate for Jews an Ak-47 and point them toward Israel, and let fly with the “instant sunrises”.

Obama never intended to attack Iran.

You want US to go to war against Iran? How many US troops do you want deployed to invade? For how long? How much do you believe we should spend? To pay for it, do you favor getting the money from China (borrowing)? or raising taxes at home? or cutting Medicare and Social Security? (and if the latter, will you accept a lower - or no - Social Security check, as your contribution to a war against Iran)? Just wondering.

He’s buying time to complete the bomb. Period.

What is your proposal for the US viz. Iran? Do you want us to go to war? I’m not saying we shouldn’t, but we really ought to be aware of the costs. Do we invade and occupy? For how long? How much will the price tag be? Where will the money come from?

Anybody who doesn’t think these are legitimate questions is like a Democrat who wants bigger domestic programs but has no interest in talking about the price tag.

There are countries and peoples in the world that will someday join the best of mankind. Iran's potentially in that group. They'll make it - if they can survive long enough to get to the other side...

But in this time Iran's like the old USSR - a threat to all... more technology than brains. Imperialistic - holding delusions of past greatness - delusions that permeate their political culture and twist their thinking. Iran has potential - they're not Afghanistan. They're not Saudi Arabia. How do we deal with them? The same way we dealt with the USSR. We don't go to war with them - and we don't back down...

The United States explains an attack on us - or an attack on Israel - means an exchange of nuclear weapons. If they destroy 98% of Israel - we will destroy 98% of Iran. We won't go to the UN... we won't wait for China to weigh in - or Russia. We launch.

The US doesn't scramble around as if it hadn't occurred to us Iran might attack Israel - we respond. Forty-five minutes later it's over. Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD). Like in the old USSR days. When Iran gets their nuke they've join a club that plays hardball... They need to know that - upfront. Avoiding war with Iran by outsmarting them - thereby giving them time to join the world community is the answer. If that fails, and a conventional war happens, it'll be a long and horrible war... for all involved.

In the meantime Iran has to be watched they're not to be trusted....

What's your take WilliamIII?

I’m pretty much in agreement with you, if I understand you correctly. i.e. - we treat Iran the way we treated the Soviets. Containment and MAD. It worked to keep the peace and bring down their system.

Yeah... that's it. Also a nice dose of propaganda - like the old radio free Europe or whatever it was called.

Communists blamed the West and everyone else for their problems - we countered with information about how and why communism wasn't working. Iran blames Israel for their problems - they don't ‘notice’ their backward political systems (thuggy corrupt) or the negative effects radical Islam has on their ability to join the modern world.

Iranians get one side of an argument - time to give them the other side. So you're right William - basically copy the cold war on a small scale. Then the US needs to stop getting between Israel and the Palestinians. If Cubans were lobbing rockets into Miami I wouldn't want France telling us what to do about it...

That would be Israel’s way of saying, “Can You Hear Me Now?”.

Israel should NOT consult with Hussein AT ALL! Israel must do what is necessary to protect herself.

Well yeah, that pretty much goes without saying doesn’t it? Especially since our current resident is more of an ally to terrorists.

Last Friday, the Times of Israel said that Iran could have a bomb in 2 months. If you keep on reading the article, some analyst cut the time to 2 weeks. Finally, an unnamed administration official said that Iran already had at least one bomb.
